The venting Lifestyle Casement runs from 17 by 17 inches up to 35 by 73 inches, and the fixed casement goes up to 59 by 73 inches, both at a design pressure of +50/-50 psf. Because the design pressure your opening must reach depends on its size and wind exposure, we confirm the required rating at quote and order a unit that meets it.
The Lifestyle Casement uses 11/16-inch argon-filled insulating glass and offers a deep menu of Low-E packages. SunDefense+ and AdvancedComfort Low-E both reach a U-factor as low as 0.25, with SunDefense+ holding an SHGC near 0.20 for strong solar-heat control, while NaturalSun options allow more passive solar gain at higher SHGC. We will recommend the glass that best fits your home's sun exposure and comfort goals.
The exterior is EnduraClad aluminum cladding offered in standard White, Black, Brown, and Fossil plus a wide feature palette including Iron Ore, Portobello, Putty, Almond, Classic White, Brick Red, Hartford Green, and Wolf Gray. The interior is pine, available unfinished, factory primed, or factory prefinished in paint or stain. We will help you coordinate the exterior color and interior finish across your project.
Yes. The Lifestyle Casement is offered with Pella's InView screen and also the Rolscreen Retractable Screen, which rolls out of sight when you do not need it. The casement also offers a Wash Hinge and a Side-Pivot hinge option to make cleaning the exterior glass from inside easier. We will go over the screen and hinge options when we quote your casements.
The Lifestyle Casement is a non-impact window, Florida Product Approval listed under FL20675.R7 and FL11865.R10 for residential use outside HVHZ, so it is not approved for the Miami-Dade and Broward High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. No. Lifestyle is Florida Product Approval listed for non-HVHZ residential and light-commercial work, but it does not carry the Miami-Dade NOA required inside the High Velocity Hurricane Zone. For a Miami-Dade or Broward project we move to HurricaneShield (vinyl) or Reserve Impact (clad-wood). Lifestyle is the right Pella line for inland and non-HVHZ addresses across most of the rest of the state.
Mostly not. Lifestyle is a non-impact clad-wood line, with one narrow exception: the Double-Hung is offered in a separate Impact-Resistant configuration (FL #20349) for projects outside the HVHZ that need impact glazing. Every other style in the line is standard non-impact glass. If your project needs impact protection across the board, we'd usually spec a true impact line rather than rely on the single Lifestyle impact option.
