No. Fortify is aluminum non-impact, engineered for coastal addresses that need high design-pressure performance and corrosion resistance but where the code does not actually require impact glass. It is the step between Comfort Shield vinyl non-impact and the impact Hurricane Guard line. If your opening must carry impact glazing on its own, we'd move you to Hurricane Guard instead.
Only in a limited way. The 380 sliding glass door is HVHZ-eligible when it is paired with hurricane shutters, which satisfy the opening-protection requirement in place of impact glass. The Fortify windows are not HVHZ products. So in Miami-Dade or Broward, Fortify only works on a shuttered door application, and we confirm that path before specifying it.
