Built for South Florida homes

The Legacy 850 is a fully thermally-broken aluminum multi-slide door that pairs style with function, using narrow profiles and a slim 1-1/8" sightline to deliver smooth glide and panoramic views. An additional-track system provides design flexibility, with 2-track (4-3/8" frame depth) and 3-track (6-9/16" frame depth) configurations and a low 3/4" sill height for 1-1/8" insulated glass. Threshold options include flush, water-barrier, ADA, and thinline, with 1" and 1-3/8" stucco-return nail-fin, an optional pocketing system, and a standard flush handle with optional pull, finished in anodized, painted, or wood-texture. Legacy is a thermal-performance line and the 850 carries no missile-impact rating.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Legacy 850 is a fully thermally-broken aluminum multi-slide door that uses narrow profiles and a slim 1-1/8 inch sightline to deliver smooth glide and panoramic, nearly frameless views. We install it where a homeowner wants to open up a wall to a patio or pool deck with maximum glass and minimum visible frame. Because it is part of the Legacy line it leads on thermal performance and aesthetics rather than hurricane impact rating.

No. The Legacy 850 carries no missile-impact rating (impact rating NI) and is not HVHZ-approved, so on its own it does not meet High-Velocity Hurricane Zone code in Miami-Dade and Broward. We install it for its thermal performance and slim sightlines, and for a code-compliant impact slider we direct clients to the impact-rated ES Windows lines such as Prestige or Elite. We'll confirm the rating your opening and county require at quote.

Yes. The Legacy 850 is offered as a 2-track system at 4-3/8 inch frame depth and a 3-track system at 6-9/16 inch frame depth, with an optional pocketing system so the panels disappear into the wall. It installs to a maximum size of 72 by 120 inches and is built for 1-1/8 inch insulated glass on a low 3/4 inch sill height. We confirm which track setup and size suit your opening when we measure.

The Legacy 850 is fully thermally broken and uses a 1-1/8 inch insulating glass unit, with that package rated at a U-factor of 0.27. A lower U-factor indicates better insulation against heat transfer, which is the design priority of the Legacy line. We'll review whether that glass package fits your comfort and efficiency goals during your free estimate.

The Legacy 850 offers flush, water-barrier, ADA, and thinline threshold options, plus 1 inch and 1-3/8 inch stucco-return nail-fin details, so it can be fit to many sill conditions. Frame finishes include anodized, painted (AAMA 2605), woodgrain, champagne bronze, and white, with a standard flush-mount handle or optional contemporary handle in black or satin. We'll help you choose the threshold and finish that match your floor level and design.

Installed pricing for the Legacy 850 depends on the opening size, the 2-track or 3-track configuration, whether you add the pocketing system, the glass package, and the finish, so there is no single price. As your installer, Armor Pro handles measurement, the threshold and nail-fin detail, and installation. We provide a free, no-obligation estimate for your specific opening.

No. Legacy is ES Windows's thermally broken aluminum architectural line, and it is positioned for thermal performance and design rather than storm protection; most of the line carries a non-missile rating and no Miami-Dade NOA. For a project in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone we spec ES Windows's aluminum impact lines (Prestige or Elite) for the openings that need to meet impact code, and reserve Legacy for where its energy and aesthetic strengths fit.

Legacy is built on a fully thermally broken aluminum platform, and the LG-225 fixed and curtain-wall system reaches a U-factor of 0.19 with standard dual-pane argon-filled insulated glass, which is a strong number for an aluminum window. In our climate, solar-heat control (SHGC) usually matters as much as U-factor, so we look at both when deciding where Legacy makes sense versus an impact line.

ES Windows is the residential and light-commercial fenestration brand of Tecnoglass Inc. (NYSE: TGLS), and the products are manufactured at the company's complex in Barranquilla, Colombia. What makes the brand unusual is that the parent makes its own architectural glass and aluminum extrusions and then assembles the finished windows and doors in-house, so a single company stands behind the whole assembly rather than buying glass and frames from outside suppliers. We install and service ES Windows products throughout South Florida.
