The ES-EL400 is the Elite line's sliding glass door, the workhorse patio slider Armor Pro installs on standard HVHZ residential openings. It runs up to six panels in nine configurations (from a simple XO to a six-panel XOXXOX) on a 4-13/16 inch frame, with up to four tracks and a pocket option that stows panels into the wall. It is LMI impact-rated and carries a current Miami-Dade NOA, so it covers the common lanai and patio opening at Elite's below-flagship pricing.
Armor Pro specs the EL400 when a project wants a real multi-panel impact slider without paying for the Prestige tier's thermal break or architectural detailing. For energy performance on a large glass wall, the thermally broken Prestige SGD2020T is the step up; for the lowest cost on a smaller opening, the MultiMax MX4000 covers two-track configurations.

The ES-EL400 is Large-Missile-Impact (LMI) rated and carries Miami-Dade NOA 24-1021.05, so it is approved for installation in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone covering Miami-Dade and Broward counties. That NOA is current through November 27, 2029. We'll confirm the approval applies to your specific opening and wind zone when we measure and quote.
Each ES-EL400 panel is tested up to roughly 48 by 118.75 inches, and the door carries a design pressure of +80/-80 psf. Because it supports up to six panels across as many as four tracks, the overall opening it can fill is quite wide, and a pocket configuration is available to stow the panels into the wall. We'll verify the right panel sizing and DP against your plans before ordering.
The ES-EL400 accepts both 7/16-inch laminated impact glass and 1-inch insulating-laminated packages. The insulating-laminated build with a 3/8-inch air gap reaches a U-factor of about 0.52 and an SHGC of 0.30, while the laminated-only options sit closer to a U-factor of 1.04. The ES-EL400 is offered in anodized, painted, and wood-grain frame finishes.
