It's a builder-grade window built for new-construction homes outside the HVHZ where the code does not require impact glazing. If your address falls inside Miami-Dade or Broward, or you want storm protection regardless of jurisdiction, the answer is the impact-rated WinGuard line, not Scout.
Scout is deliberately narrow — four window styles only: single hung, horizontal roller, fixed picture, and architectural shapes, in white or bronze.
