Frequently Asked Questions

The MG-1100 is a multitrack pocket sliding glass door that stacks up to 6 panels across 3 tracks, so it opens far wider than a conventional two- or three-panel slider. We install it most often on indoor-outdoor lifestyle openings where the wall has a pocket that can fully absorb the stacked panels. It's an aluminum-framed door built for large openings while still carrying impact protection.

Yes. The MG-1100 is dual LMI/SMI impact-rated, meaning it passes both the large- and small-missile impact tests required in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. It carries Florida Product Approval FL25959.R6. We'll confirm the exact approval applicable to your opening at the time of quote.

Each panel on the MG-1100 can be up to 60 inches wide by 120 inches tall, and the system stacks up to 6 panels across 3 tracks for very wide openings. The door is rated to +80 psf positive and -100 psf negative design pressure. We confirm the design pressure your specific opening needs based on its size and location before we order.

The MG-1100 comes with a 9/16-inch laminated impact glass standard (U-factor 1.097, SHGC 0.515), with Low-E options like Solarban SB70 that drop the SHGC to around 0.239 for better heat control. There's also a 1-3/16-inch insulated laminated upgrade that improves the U-factor down to roughly 0.672-0.778 depending on the Low-E coating. We'll help you match the glass package to your sun exposure and energy goals.

The frame uses a powder-coated aluminum finish, with AAMA 2604 standard (5-year warranty) or an upgraded AAMA 2605 finish (10-year warranty). Glass tints include Clear, Gray, Bronze, Solex Green, and Solargray, plus Low-E options (Solarban SB70/SB70XL/SB60) and a privacy white/translucent interlayer. We'll go over the finish and tint choices with you so the door fits the look of your home.

The installed price of an MG-1100 depends on the size of the opening, the panel configuration (how many panels and tracks), the glass package you choose, and the condition of the existing opening. Because it's a large multitrack pocket door, the prep and structural anchoring matter to the final number. Armor Pro provides a free estimate so you get an exact installed price for your project.

Mr Glass runs a deep catalog, and we install across most of it. On the residential side that means impact windows in single-hung, horizontal-roller (sliding), fixed picture, and casement and awning styles, plus a full range of doors: entry and outswing doors, architectural pivot doors, and sliding glass doors including the multitrack pocket slider. They also build a commercial line of impact and non-impact storefronts, window walls, curtain walls, glass railings, and aluminum louvers that we handle on light-commercial projects. We help you match the right Mr Glass product to each opening and pull the matching approval for your county.

Most of the line is, but it depends on the specific product. Mr Glass's premium residential windows are dual-certified to both Large Missile Impact (LMI) and Small Missile Impact (SMI), which covers them for high-rise and coastal work anywhere in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone of Miami-Dade and Broward. Their value-tier windows and all of their doors carry the impact certification needed for the HVHZ as well, and a couple of commercial products (the MG-275 door and MG-4500 storefront) are non-impact and are not used in the wind-borne-debris zone. We confirm the exact product, rating, and approval for your address before we quote and permit.

A sliding glass door (SGD) glides on a bottom track and stacks panels to one side, giving a wide glass opening to a patio or lanai. The impact version uses laminated glass and a heavy reinforced frame tested to the HVHZ standard, so it protects the largest opening in most homes without needing shutters.
