Frequently Asked Questions
The ES-9500 is a commercial aluminum storefront from ES Windows's Commercial & Architectural Series, used for ground-level glazed entries and shopfront facades. It glazes laminated and insulating-laminated glass and can incorporate an impact door directly into the frame. We install it on retail, office, and other commercial street-level openings where a glazed storefront is specified.
The ES-9500 comes in two size envelopes, both rated to +120/-120 psf: a tall configuration up to 48" wide by 120" high, and a wide configuration up to 60" wide by 96" high. That gives you flexibility to run either taller or wider glass lites at the same design pressure. We confirm which configuration and approval fit your opening before we install.
The standard glass on the ES-9500 is a 9/16" laminated unit (1/4" heat-strengthened + a 0.090" interlayer + 1/4" heat-strengthened), with an optional 1 5/16" insulating-laminated package (1/4" tempered + 1/2" air spacer + a laminated heat-strengthened inboard lite). With insulating-laminated glass on SB70 gray, the system carries a U-factor of about 0.492. We'll match the glass package to your energy targets and budget at quote.
The ES-9500 ships as a standard single-lite frame but can also be built as a tombstone, rounded, or chamfered frame, configured as two or more lites (left/center/right), or with an impact door incorporated into the storefront. Glass finishes include painted, serigraphy, and digital-printed options for branding or decorative facades. We'll spec the frame shape and finish to match your storefront design.
Yes. One of the ES-9500's frame options is an impact door incorporated directly into the storefront, so the entry and the surrounding glazing are part of one system. That's a common setup for retail and commercial entries where you want a continuous glazed shopfront with a working door. We'll lay out the lites and door placement to suit your traffic flow when we quote.
We don't quote a flat price because installed cost depends on the overall storefront size, the number and shape of lites, whether an impact door is incorporated, the glass package, and the condition of the opening. A custom multi-lite storefront with a digital-printed or serigraphy finish prices differently than a single-lite frame. Armor Pro provides a free, no-obligation estimate after reviewing your plans and measuring the work.
This is ES Windows's house-brand catalog for commercial, condo, and mid- to high-rise architectural work, distinct from the residential tier lines. It covers aluminum storefront, stick and structural-silicone-glazed curtain wall, pre-glazed impact window wall, project-in and project-out operable windows, and commercial sliding and lift-slide doors. We reference it for light-commercial and architectural-spec projects rather than standard home replacement.
The U.S.-market impact systems are the ones that carry real HVHZ ratings: the ES-8860 window wall is tested to plus and minus 150 psf, the ES-6000/6100 sliding door reaches plus 120 / minus 135 psf with multiple Miami-Dade NOAs, and the ES-7500/7600 window wall and several others carry large- and small-missile certification. Some of the metric storefront and curtain-wall framing systems are Latin-American architectural products without Florida approval, so we verify approval status before specifying any of them on a Florida job.
ES Windows is the residential and light-commercial fenestration brand of Tecnoglass Inc. (NYSE: TGLS), and the products are manufactured at the company's complex in Barranquilla, Colombia. What makes the brand unusual is that the parent makes its own architectural glass and aluminum extrusions and then assembles the finished windows and doors in-house, so a single company stands behind the whole assembly rather than buying glass and frames from outside suppliers. We install and service ES Windows products throughout South Florida.
