Built for South Florida homes

The ES-4520 is a thermally broken insulated-glass storefront system assembled with screws or shear block and compatible with ES-21 and ES-35 doors. Frames are factory-built and shipped knocked-down or pre-assembled for field glazing, with a non-thermal option available for 1/4" monolithic glass. It accepts 1" insulated glass (thermal) or 1/4" monolithic glass (non-thermal) at a 4-1/2" frame depth and 2" visible sightline. Rated +30/-30 psf with 10 psf water-infiltration resistance and a U-value of 0.45.

Frequently Asked Questions

The ES-4520 is ES Windows's thermally broken, insulated-glass commercial storefront with a 4-1/2-inch frame depth and a 2-inch sightline. Unlike the ES-4518, which is a non-thermal interior storefront taking 1/4-inch monolithic glass, the ES-4520 adds a thermal break and accepts 1-inch insulated glass for better energy performance and a higher load rating. We install the ES-4520 where commercial glazing needs both a clean storefront look and improved thermal performance, and we'll confirm the configuration at quote.

No. The ES-4520 is a non-impact (NI) system that is not HVHZ approved, so we do not present it as a hurricane barrier for South Florida exterior openings. It is rated to a +30/-30 psf design pressure with 10 psf water-infiltration resistance, which is structural performance, not impact protection. If you need a hurricane-rated commercial system, we'll move you to one of ES Windows's HVHZ impact lines and confirm what your jurisdiction requires before permitting.

The ES-4520 carries a +30/-30 psf design pressure with 10 psf of water-infiltration resistance, and in its standard G1 SB60 insulated configuration it reaches a U-factor of 0.45 thanks to the thermal break. Its 1-inch insulated glass is built as 1/4-inch heat-strengthened glass, a 1/2-inch air space, and 1/4-inch heat-strengthened glass. Because the load and energy target for your project depend on the building and climate, we verify the right setup at quote.

The ES-4520 comes standard with G1, a 1-inch insulated heat-strengthened glass unit in the thermal version, with a non-thermal G2 option using 1/4-inch monolithic heat-strengthened glass. Frames are factory-built and can ship knocked-down or pre-assembled for field glazing, assembled with either screw spline or shear block, and the glass can be finished with paint, serigraphy, or digital printing. We'll spec the glass, thermal option, and assembly method to suit your project.

The ES-4520 is available in anodized, painted, and wood-grain frame finishes, built from 6063-T6 or 6005-T5 aluminum alloy. It is designed to integrate with ES Windows's ES-21 and ES-35 swing doors so an entrance can be built directly into the storefront framing. We'll match the finish to your building and spec the door so the storefront and entry work as one system.

Installed pricing for the ES-4520 depends on the number of lites, the overall size, the glass and thermal package, the finish, whether a door is integrated, and the condition of the existing opening, so there is no single price. As your installer, Armor Pro handles measurement, layout, and code-compliant installation of this thermally broken storefront. Contact us for a free, no-obligation estimate and we'll measure your space and quote it.

This is ES Windows's house-brand catalog for commercial, condo, and mid- to high-rise architectural work, distinct from the residential tier lines. It covers aluminum storefront, stick and structural-silicone-glazed curtain wall, pre-glazed impact window wall, project-in and project-out operable windows, and commercial sliding and lift-slide doors. We reference it for light-commercial and architectural-spec projects rather than standard home replacement.

The U.S.-market impact systems are the ones that carry real HVHZ ratings: the ES-8860 window wall is tested to plus and minus 150 psf, the ES-6000/6100 sliding door reaches plus 120 / minus 135 psf with multiple Miami-Dade NOAs, and the ES-7500/7600 window wall and several others carry large- and small-missile certification. Some of the metric storefront and curtain-wall framing systems are Latin-American architectural products without Florida approval, so we verify approval status before specifying any of them on a Florida job.

ES Windows is the residential and light-commercial fenestration brand of Tecnoglass Inc. (NYSE: TGLS), and the products are manufactured at the company's complex in Barranquilla, Colombia. What makes the brand unusual is that the parent makes its own architectural glass and aluminum extrusions and then assembles the finished windows and doors in-house, so a single company stands behind the whole assembly rather than buying glass and frames from outside suppliers. We install and service ES Windows products throughout South Florida.
