Frequently Asked Questions
Air Master Glass Railings are frameless glass railing systems for balconies, terraces, and stair runs. They use aluminum-base post-and-clamp construction to hold the glass infill, giving an unobstructed view line without a top rail or pickets blocking the sightline. Armor Pro installs them as part of Air Master's Solutions line across South Florida.
The railings support tempered or laminated glass infill, depending on the application and code requirements for the location. Tempered glass adds strength, while laminated glass keeps the panel intact if it ever breaks, which matters on elevated balconies and terraces. We help you select the appropriate glass type and thickness for your railing run at quote.
Yes. Air Master's Glass Railings are a frameless system, meaning the glass panels are held by an aluminum-base post-and-clamp setup rather than enclosed in a full frame. This is what gives balconies, terraces, and stair runs their clean, unobstructed view lines. Armor Pro can show you how the post-and-clamp construction works for your specific railing layout.
Yes. The system is designed for balconies, terraces, and stair runs, so it works for both level guardrail applications and the angled runs along a staircase. The aluminum post-and-clamp base supports the tempered or laminated glass infill in each setting. We'll measure the run and confirm the layout and glass for your project.
Yes, Armor Pro handles Air Master's Solutions line, which includes the frameless Glass Railings alongside the Curtain Wall and Shower Enclosures. We can measure your balcony, terrace, or stair run, confirm the glass type, and complete the installation. Contact us for a free assessment of your railing project.
We don't quote a flat price because installed cost depends on the length of the railing run, the glass type and thickness you choose, the mounting condition, and the layout of the balcony, terrace, or stairs. Air Master's frameless railing system is priced per project rather than per linear foot off the shelf. Armor Pro provides a free, no-obligation estimate after measuring your railing run.
Solutions is Air Master's commercial and ancillary glazing line, separate from its residential windows and doors. It includes a Kawneer-licensed aluminum curtain wall for mid-rise commercial buildings, frameless glass railings for balconies and terraces, and aluminum-framed shower enclosures. These are specification-grade and commercial products rather than residential replacement items, so we engage with them on commercial and architectural projects.
A curtain wall is a non-structural aluminum-and-glass building skin hung on the front of a mid-rise structure, used for commercial facades rather than residential window openings. Air Master's curtain wall is licensed from Kawneer, an established North American systems supplier, so the engineering and any approvals come from Kawneer's platform upstream rather than from an Air Master filing. Because impact and design-pressure requirements vary by system and jurisdiction, we confirm the specific approval and rating for a project before specifying it.
Yes, but only on specific products. Air Master's Series 250 aluminum line — fixed window, horizontal-slider window, sliding glass door, and swinging door — carries a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) and is rated for the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone that covers Miami-Dade and Broward counties. The rest of the residential catalog carries statewide Florida Product Approval, which is accepted across most of Florida but not inside the HVHZ. We confirm the right product for your county before we quote.
