The SGD5470 is offered as a by-pass or pocket slider and can be built with 90-degree or 135-degree corner configurations for wrapping a corner opening. Individual panels run from a minimum of about 22.9 by 27.75 inches up to a maximum of 48 by 120 inches, and the door carries a high +169.4/-169.4 psf design pressure rating. On the SGD5470 we can spec U-factors from 0.33 to 0.36 depending on glass. SHGC drops as low as 0.17 with the Argon/Energy Shield Max package with grids, which is helpful for sun-facing patio openings. Glass options run from Energy Shield (U 0.36, SHGC 0.28) up to Argon/Energy Shield Max (U 0.33, SHGC 0.17), and we'll recommend the package that fits your exposure and comfort goals.
The SGD5470 frame comes standard in White, Beige, Bronze, and Black, plus two-tone Bronze Exterior/White Interior and Black Exterior/White Interior. For hardware you can choose the standard Raised Handle or upgrade to a Contemporary, Curved, Modern, or Beveled handle. Grid options include 7/8" Traditional Simulated Divided Lite and grids-between-the-glass in 9/16" flat, 13/16" flat, or 1" contour.

It belongs on inland Florida addresses where the building code does not require laminated impact glazing. If you're inside the HVHZ or you want storm protection regardless of jurisdiction, the impact counterpart is WinGuard Vinyl, which uses the same frame.
