Frequently Asked Questions
The MG-275 is Mr Glass's non-impact aluminum commercial door, built for interior commercial applications that fall outside hurricane-impact requirements. It's an aluminum outswing entrance door rated to 65 psf positive and 75 psf negative design pressure for general commercial use. We install it where a building owner needs a durable commercial entrance but the opening doesn't require impact protection.
No. The MG-275 is a non-impact (NI) door and is not approved for the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, so we don't install it where impact protection is required. It carries Florida Product Approval FL39839.R1 for general commercial use only. If you need an HVHZ-rated impact opening, we'll point you to one of Mr Glass's impact-rated products instead.
The MG-275 is available as a single door with transom up to 39.625 inches wide by 120 inches tall, or as a double door with transom up to 75.625 inches wide by 120 inches tall. Both configurations are rated to +65/75 psf design pressure. We confirm the right configuration for your opening during the site measure.
The MG-275 comes standard with push and pull handles plus stainless steel ball-bearing hinges and offset pivots. You can also add concealed 3-point locks and panic (exit) devices, which are common on commercial entrances. We'll spec the hardware to match how the door will be used and your code requirements.
The aluminum frame comes standard with an AAMA 2604 powder-coat finish (5-year warranty), with an upgrade to AAMA 2605 powder coat (10-year warranty). Glass tint options include Clear (standard), Gray, Bronze, Solex Green, Solargray, Low-E (Solarban SB70 / SB70XL / SB60), and Privacy with a white or translucent interlayer. We'll help you pick the finish and tint at quote.
Installed pricing on the MG-275 depends on whether you choose the single or double configuration, the overall size up to 120 inches tall, the glass and hardware packages, and the condition of the opening. Adding panic devices or concealed multi-point locks also affects the total. Armor Pro provides a free estimate so you get an accurate price for your commercial project.
Mr Glass runs a deep catalog, and we install across most of it. On the residential side that means impact windows in single-hung, horizontal-roller (sliding), fixed picture, and casement and awning styles, plus a full range of doors: entry and outswing doors, architectural pivot doors, and sliding glass doors including the multitrack pocket slider. They also build a commercial line of impact and non-impact storefronts, window walls, curtain walls, glass railings, and aluminum louvers that we handle on light-commercial projects. We help you match the right Mr Glass product to each opening and pull the matching approval for your county.
Most of the line is, but it depends on the specific product. Mr Glass's premium residential windows are dual-certified to both Large Missile Impact (LMI) and Small Missile Impact (SMI), which covers them for high-rise and coastal work anywhere in the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone of Miami-Dade and Broward. Their value-tier windows and all of their doors carry the impact certification needed for the HVHZ as well, and a couple of commercial products (the MG-275 door and MG-4500 storefront) are non-impact and are not used in the wind-borne-debris zone. We confirm the exact product, rating, and approval for your address before we quote and permit.
A swing door is hinged and opens in or out — a French door is a glazed door (often in pairs), while an entry door is the main door to the home. The impact versions use laminated glass and reinforced frames and hardware tested to the HVHZ standard, protecting the opening against debris and forced entry.
