The ES Windows V88 Lift-Slide is a European uPVC lift-slide patio door (elevable-corrediza = lift-slide) on the premium Series 88 ("ES") system, with a deep 8-1/8-inch frame depth and a 3-15/16-inch sight line. Turning the handle lifts the large panel off its weather seal onto rollers so it glides smoothly, then drops it back onto a high-performance gasket for an air-tight seal when closed. It delivers excellent thermal and acoustic efficiency, maximizes natural light and broad views, and ships pre-assembled and pre-glazed with a white finish available. It is the only product in the European uPVC line with an impact claim, stating Large Missile Impact (L.M.I.) resistance, though no Florida Product Approval or NOA number is published to substantiate it.

Frequently Asked Questions

The V88 Lift-Slide is the only product in ES Windows's European uPVC line that carries an impact claim, stating Large Missile Impact (L.M.I.) resistance. However, no Florida Product Approval or Miami-Dade NOA number is published to substantiate that claim, and the unit is not listed as HVHZ-approved. Because impact approvals are address- and code-specific, we'll verify exactly what documentation is available and what's accepted for your jurisdiction before you commit at quote.

The V88 Lift-Slide is built for very large openings on its deep 8-1/8-inch frame. The two-panel OX/XO configuration goes up to 180 by 96 inches, the three-panel OXO up to 190.5 by 114 inches, and the three-panel XOX up to 225 by 114 inches. All three configurations carry a design pressure of +55/55 psf, and we'll confirm the right configuration and size for your wall and opening when we measure.

With its 1-1/4-inch insulating-laminated SB70 #2 glass, the V88 Lift-Slide achieves a U-factor of 0.30 and an SHGC of 0.18, which is strong solar-heat control for such a large glass door. It also delivers an STC rating in the 40 to 43 range, so it noticeably reduces outside noise. When closed, the panel drops onto a high-performance gasket for an air-tight seal that supports its thermal and acoustic performance.

The V88 Lift-Slide uses a globe handle as standard: turning it lifts the large panel off its weather seal onto rollers so it glides smoothly, then sets it back down onto the gasket for an air-tight seal when closed. This lift-and-glide action lets even very large panels move easily by hand. Hardware finishes are available in bronze, black, or white, and we'll set the rollers and seal correctly during installation so it operates smoothly for the long term.

The V88 Lift-Slide comes standard in white, with a full range of architectural finishes including Anthracite Grey Smooth, Black Smooth, Ceylon Smooth, Flemish Gold Smooth, Golden Oak, and Trompet Smooth. The door ships pre-assembled and pre-glazed, and with its narrow 3-15/16-inch sight line it maximizes natural light and broad views. We'll help you coordinate the finish with the rest of your project during the consultation.

We don't publish a flat price for the V88 Lift-Slide because the installed cost depends heavily on the configuration (OX/XO, OXO, or XOX), the overall size, the glass package, the frame finish, and the structural prep the large opening requires. Armor Pro provides a free, in-person estimate so you get an accurate number for your specific opening, and we'll confirm the available impact documentation as part of that process.

Mostly no. The V76 and V88 series are European-style uPVC systems engineered for thermal and acoustic performance and Passive House alignment rather than Florida missile-impact, and the published material shows no design-pressure rating or Florida Product Approval for most of the range. The one exception is the V88 lift-slide door, which carries a large-missile-impact claim. For a code-driven HVHZ opening we steer homeowners to an impact-approved aluminum line and confirm any uPVC approval status before relying on it.

A tilt-turn is a single sash with dual-axis European hardware: turn the handle one way and the sash swings inward like a casement for full ventilation, egress, and cleaning; turn it the other way and the top tilts inward for secure trickle ventilation while the window stays mostly closed. It is the standard operable window across Europe and the V76 and V88 series both offer it. U.S. buyers rarely see it because American windows default to single- and double-hung and sliders.

ES Windows is the residential and light-commercial fenestration brand of Tecnoglass Inc. (NYSE: TGLS), and the products are manufactured at the company's complex in Barranquilla, Colombia. What makes the brand unusual is that the parent makes its own architectural glass and aluminum extrusions and then assembles the finished windows and doors in-house, so a single company stands behind the whole assembly rather than buying glass and frames from outside suppliers. We install and service ES Windows products throughout South Florida.
