The EAS Vinyl Doors family is the vinyl-frame counterpart to the aluminum door line, two sliding glass doors that bring impact protection to a patio opening in a vinyl frame: the 623 Bertha vinyl impact SGD for standard residential HVHZ openings, and the 650 MTD, a multi-track pocketing door that stacks panels into the wall for a full indoor-outdoor aperture. Both carry LMI impact certification for South Florida.

Armor Pro specs the Vinyl Doors when a project wants a vinyl slider, usually to match vinyl windows and to lean on vinyl's thermal performance and lower cost over aluminum. The 623 covers the everyday patio opening, and the 650 MTD is the choice when the wall should disappear. For larger, heavier sliding openings or a hinged French door, the aluminum door line carries those; the vinyl doors are the warm, value side of the EAS door catalog.

As with all EAS products, they are approved through the FBC route rather than a separate Miami-Dade NOA, which is accepted in Miami-Dade and Broward. We pull the permit and confirm the approval for your specific door size and configuration.

Up to 192 by 96 inches, that is 16 feet wide by 8 feet tall, in OX, XO, OXO, and OXXO panel layouts, rated to 65 psf design pressure. It includes anti-lift panel devices and an optional keyed handle set for security. It comes in White, Desert Sand, and Bronze, which makes it easy to match to 143 or 176 Bertha vinyl windows on the same project.

The 650 MTD is EAS's premium vinyl slider that opens up to eight panels wide and pockets them into the wall, so the patio opening effectively disappears, the signature feature for indoor-outdoor living. It uses heavy aluminum interlocks with matching vinyl covers to keep the frame line clean. One thing to know: the 650 comes in white only, so if you need a darker frame on a pocketing door we will point you to an aluminum or alternate option.

Vinyl doors win on cost and insulation and are the right call for standard patio openings, especially when you want to match vinyl windows. Step up to the aluminum doors (the FD 8100 in particular) when the opening is very large or heavy, the exposure demands a higher design pressure than 65 psf, or you want a hinged French configuration, which the vinyl line does not offer.
